~ ACNE IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD ~

Many of us go through a lot of skin care issues which results in frustration , depression and a lot of stress. I, at the age of 15 to 20 have faced a lot of acne problems myself. I hate stepping out for events or parties with a stupid mark on my face. Yes , it’s dam annoying and irritating and all you can do is be upset about it and wait for the pimple to go away. But , We all need to understand that it ' happens to everyone and is common ' and definitely NOT THE END OF THE WORLD.


FOLLOWING ARE SOME MYTHS THAT WE ALL NEED TO STOP BELIEVING IN , RIGHT NOW :
  • Acne only affects teenagers - No , it can happen to anyone at any age or to any gender.
  • Acne is contagious - Not at all , for gods sake. Acne does not spread like bacterial infections , but don't go ahead and use the same face towel because that's never a  good idea when it comes to hygine.
  • Acne and spots are different things - No , they are actually the same. Whether its a red bump , white head or a black head , they are all 'forms' of acne.
  • Acne is caused by unclean skin - Not true , as it’s the excess sebum that is produced in the body which is the leading cause of your acne situation.
  • Acne occurs with your chocolate addiction - Chocolates can never give you chronic acne , 1 bar - a day is not a bad idea. At least chocolates help in lifting up my mood.
  • Wearing makeup on a daily basis leads to acne - Well noway , makeup is not at all bad for skin , its used to make a face look better and not worse , so go ahead and slay that contour , haha.

SKIN CARE TIPS THAT YOU ' MUST ' FOLLOW , ON A REGULAR BASIS :

  • Apply rose water or use any kind of a facial mist / toner to keep your skin fresh.
  • To lighten dark circles , take 2 used tea bags , store them in the fridge so they become cool and then put them on your eyes for 5-7 minutes and relax.
  • For a glowing skin - apply a mixture of Turmeric + Lemon on your face for 15 minutes & rinse, or start applying Sunscreen every 3-4 hours. Yes , even when you are at just sitting at home.
  • Shampoo your hair on time - Dandruff and an itchy scalp can lead to bad acne.
  • Drink a lot of Water and include Fruits in your diet.
  • Always remove makeup before going to bed and allow your skin to breathe at night.

NOBODY IS PERFECT OR FLAWLESS , so don’t let a small spot spoil your mood. There are better things to look at , in life than just a mark on your face.
