Menstruation, aka having your period .  It is when blood ( a lot of it ) and tissue from your uterus comes out of your vagina. It happens to every female, every month. The  menstrual cycle basically helps your body prepare for pregnancy. Here’s how -  You have 2 ovaries and each one holds a bunch of eggs. These eggs are super tiny and cannot be seen with the naked eye. During the cycle, these eggs in your ovaries mature    and get ready to be fertilized by a sperm cell.
